Sulla situazione delle denominazioni negli USA

In un articolo dal titolo «The pandemic and the demise of the Church» a firma di David Epps del 23 Settembre 2020 su https://thecitizen.com viene detto: «Un recente sondaggio Barna [N.d.E. il Barna Group è una società di sondaggi cristiana evangelica con sede a Ventura, in California] ha indicato che nei prossimi 18 mesi, 20% di tutte le chiese negli Stati Uniti dovranno probabilmente chiudere come risultato della pandemia. Se accurato, ciò vorrebbe dire che negli Stati Uniti, 9491 chiese della Southern Baptist (delle 47.456 chiese al 2018) chiuderebbero. Con 17.000 parrocchie, la Chiesa Cattolica chiuderebbe 3.400 chiuse. Le Assemblee di Dio e la Chiesa di Dio in Cristo perderebbero ambedue 2.400 chiese. Altre denominazioni sarebbero influenzate in modo simile.
